Technical Help

Presentations:

Presentations are offered in two formats, SofTV and Windows Media Player. Please read the following information for each format. If you encounter any problems after following these steps, please contact the helpdesk.

SofTV
SofTV is an interactive and full featured format for slide shows. The SofTV format is certainly the best choice for dial-up modem users. The SofTV version uses minimal bandwidth but maintains high quality. SofTV uses standard web technologies and should function reliably in most cases, however, as a fall back, we’ve included a Windows Media version as an alternative.

Windows Media Player:
This is the alternative format that may be used if the SofTV version does not function to your satisfaction. In order to keep adequate image resolution, the presentations are set to a high data rate. In other words, you need either a high-speed internet connection (such as DSL or Cable) or you need enough patience to wait for the videos to download.
